Talking Concept Class: Binder (hlep me!)

This is a concept class i do not expect to ever make it into the game just because it is too out of the ordinary, don't get me wrong, i think it is cool and it would be awsome if it made an appearance but it isunlikely it everwill.

Now, back to the concept. My idea is that the class is a bit like a warrior mixed with a ritualist. They would be people searching for power through binding ideas to themselves to increase their power. They would not bind spirits of ancestors but instead they would bind certain powers to themselves. An example might be the idea of nothingness, the void, maybe called the 'howling darkness'. They would not be searching for pureness, instead they would search for power almost through corrupting their own bodies with outsiders ideas and greed. I picture the in long trenchcoats

Instead of having abilities to summon like a ritualist, instead you would equip these vestiges on your skill bar and then they would function the entire time you were in the explorable area. They might slightly change your appearance, depending on how the actual idea might appear when summoned in real life, such as giving you a hand with scales for the idea of defence or shelter from harm. They would be like constant enchantments that cannot be stripped that give you bonuses, so you could customize your class for certain roles, making yourself defensive one time and offensive the next.

Just reading over what I have written even I can see that this class would be unbalanced, and very hard to balance, so the vestiges would have to have some drawbacks. Maybe something like 20% armor penetration but you lose 20% of your armor.

Here are some of the attributes you might put points into:

(Primary) Greed: For each point spent in this attribute you have an extra 1% chance of having +1 offensive or defensive binding when you enter an area (but because greed has a downside the opposite one get -1 so it is a bit of a gamble)

Binding: For each point in this attribute, you can have one vestige in your skillbar, up to a maximum of 8, it also makes some vestiges stronger.

Offensive Bindings: This attribute increases the strength of offensive bindings

Defensive Bindings: This attribute increases the strength of defensive bindings

Armor would be hard to balance because all you would have is bindings, but maybe something along the lines of

60 armour +2.5 for every binding you have (so that it increases as you get higher levels) for a total of 70 armor with 8 bindings

60 armor +20 physical

60 armor +20 elemental

Seeing as this is my first concept class and i have no clue as to how balanced this will be, i'm asking for people's contibutions and ideas and i will add them as time goes on. I would love to be able to turn this into a full class with well defined mechanics and some better names for the class/attributes. If you have any ideas, background ideas, skill ideas, name ideas, mechanics ideas please post them. And please help me balance the armor.

First Balance idea, you need a time limit per bind, they cannot be on the whole time. Not to mention you need a fairy high cast time if you are binding energy to yourself it would seem.

One other problem i see is how none of these can be removed, they would have to add skills to espcially the mesmer to remove what you just binded.

What i recommend is think of some skills so we can look at it, see just how the class acts, and then try to balance something
